i write in my auctions that i need an email reply within 3 days, and payment within 10. do you think that this is unreasonable (i give more than 10 if they email me with a reason) and what kind of feedback should be posted for someone who never replies because what if they reply late? like how long is long enough to give up & post the auction again? i don't think it's crazy of me to expect people to follow through in a timely manner, because i return the favor.

Well, i give people 14 days to send the money.. some people have busy lives, and with school finishing up, you can forget easily to send the money.

I usually say that they don't have to reply to my email, but that I'd appreciate if payment was mailed within 2 weeks. However, I'm not really the type to leave negative feedback, so I'll wait for up to 2 months, then contact the person and see if they are still planning to send payment. If they don't reply within a week, I leave negative feedback. If they reply and say they changed their mind or they don't have the money or something, I generally won't leave negetive feedback and will just repost the item. If they reply and say they are still going to pay, but after another month they haven't, then I'll leave negetive feedback. So basically, I really hate to leave negative feedback, so I try to be as patient and understanding with people as possible.

I usually ask people to reply to my emails to confirm that they're actually going to be sending me money.

I used to say "10 days to get payment" but that was useless because it almost never came within 10 days, and I wasn't about to leave someone neg feedback cause it took 20 days instead of 10.

i usually say payment have to be SENT with in two weeks, not recieved, because some times, postal service messies up or something, and all letters are postmarked, if you can't see the date, than god is probably helping that person...so yeh heh

don't tell me you don't believe in god what the fuck ever

and yeah, they MUST reply to my e-mail with in a 10 days if they have 0 rating of feedback, and 2 weeks if they are a good user...i mean, e-mail is the form of communication, no e-mail usually means no payment.

and also, leave negative feedback to no replies to e-mail, no payment after a looooonnnnnngggg time...neutral only when they are really good users with 20+ feedbacks, or when they back out with a GOOD reason, unless he/she has less than 2 feedbacks than it'd be negative first impression IS really important....

and don't be too...kind...just leave negative feedback when it's appropriate blah...
