Lalala. I decided to be greedy and rented
House On Haunted Hill today, and watched it ALL by myself. I taped it too.

Anyhow, it was alright. Rather predictable, but still quite good. It had neat effects, and was relatively gory.

But, it was worth the $2.99 it cost me to rent & tape it. Sooo have you seen any good movies lately?

The last one I saw in the theatre was Mission Impossible 2. It was worth paying the money to see it just to see Tom Cruise.
Yum yum. I liked it.

I'm making thorough use of my employee rentals from Blockbuster Anyway, I've rented "The Straight Story" and "Being John Malkovich" for tonight, so I'll let you know how those are... last week I saw "Swing" and "Cradle Will Rock". My boyfriend and I *loved* "Cradle Will Rock" since we're both history geeks, and it's thoroughly inspiring for anyone who loves theatre and the stage.

I also saw "Chicken Run" when it opened on Friday - you all *have* to see this movie, it's fabulous I loved the Wallace and Gromit movies, and this one is just as good.

I just saw Superstar. It's funny in a stupid way. I've also seen Drive Me Crazy, which isn't the best and also The Sixth Sense, which is really cool. I recommend Superstar and The Sixth Sense if you haven't seen them. I don't go to the theaters very often, that's why these are kinda old movies, but oh well. I wanna see Anywhere but Here right now. One of my friends says it was really good.

Sean and I rented American Beauty and Dogma a few nights ago. AB was so not deserving of any Academy Award (IMHO) and I didn't care too much for Dogma. Maybe it was Chris Rock, I just can't get "into" him very much...

adrienne--i couldn't get into american beauty either, but i guess i could see its merits. i don't really think it deserved an oscar either, but what do the oscars mean anyway, right.

i saw superstar awhile back (i think--is it the one based on the snl cheerleader girl?). it was funny in a stupid way--i wasn't really a big fan of the snl skits in the first place.
