we are building a house next year. i would love to paint my room now (it has ugly stripes) but it would be a waste to paint then move into a new room next year. anyway, i want to do something like a mural or a theme. anyone have any ideas? i have some of my own but i'd like to hear other people's ideas. postpostpost

Just make sure it's something you won't grow out of. Try to think of something the calmes you or fills you with energy{or whatever your desired effect is}. Painting a mural is alot of work and you don't want to get sick of it in a year or two. I have a ffriend who got everyone she knows to come over and put their footprints{in paint} on her walls. It's kinda creepy but she said whenever she feels sad she's reminded of everyone she cares about.
I think a room should do something like that.

Your if you find that your change you ideas and opinions alot you could always paint it with that chalkboard paint. That way, you could draw a mural on and earase it when you get sick of it.
Or paint your room your favortie colour then put up posters and pictures of things your interested in and it would be easy to change them later on.

or you could paint the walls a cool color you like, and then with glow in the dark paint you could paint stars and such so when you turn off the lights..BAM..heh..i saw some at a store and i was like THAT IS SO COOL..but my mom wouldnt let me buy it ;p and there is stuff like glitter paint that would look really cool. or i think even using some sort of cool painting effect on the walls really spruce it up..

i have an idea.
my room was painted blue, so a couple of months ago on one wall i painted clouds, it really brightened up my room, and it looks super cute, its not too tacky or anything. just an idea.
