listen up..Christina is the most stuck up snobbiest BiTCH .. there was a contest for her to be the prom date of a guy (thousands of guys entered). So this guy wins right..Christina shows up, performs *2* songs, asks her bodyguard to take all BRITNEY CDs away from the people in the prom (Why would they have it anyways?). And IN THE MIC she utters "Why the hell am I doing this? Why am I here?". Then she is ushered to a lil room with her prom date (poor guy), who gives her a rose. She pats him on the shoulder and says "Oh yeah, your that boy who won the contest" and leaves. Not one dance, or signature, or ANYTHING. UGHH!------------------

i sowwie, i just dont consider fake plastic barbie dolls as " singers ". Nor do I count LIP-Syncin or not knowing her own dance moves (MTV dancing -Britney) or trying to get PRINCE WILLIAM a singer! Ugh!------------------

If it was REAL music then it wouldn't be about the package(looks, dancing, having to lip synch in concert) and it wouldn't be so goddamn manufactured. Also, it would actually be written by the person themself. ------------------

Blondie, I do agree...Britney CAN'T sing worth a flip. But neither can a lot of other artists. Why pick her out?The way I see it, is that people that listen to other stuff besides pop are prejudice against pop music ("teenyboppers") and the people that listen to pop are prejudice against other stuff. You just can't win.
I guess I'm in the middle. You just have to try to see it from the other people's point of view. Just because you think different doesn't mean you are right. I'm sorry if it didn't make sense, but this is something I feel strong about. One of my pet peeves. IP: Logged |

But seriously, I think music should be about the actual music and the message it has, and not about making money. But you're right, everybody does have different taste. I just happen to like to express mine, usually in a loud and obnoxious fashion. And if you're into something that I'm not, it doesn't mean I'm going to think less of you or anything. Don't tell me that they're not complete media/corporate whores.
