Do you have one? Where do you guys work? I work at the mall in a store called Carlton Cards--I like it but it gets kinda boring sometimes...and I only get payed $5.65. Which actually isn't that bad but when they take out $$$ for taxes my check doesn't come out that BIG. It's like the more $$ you earn the more they take out../i hate that it gets on my nerves.... Well, reply..I'm interested to see where some of you work!IP: Logged |

Hmm, I don't wanna say what my regular job is but I work at private parties on occasion (such as Christmas). As a caterer. It's a great job since I get paid damn well for doing something I love. I love the noise, the fast pace, the food you get to eat in the kitchen when no one's looking. LOL. Anyway, I usially make $15 an hour or around $100 a night if it's a long night. Verrrry good life. I'd be happy doing party jobs all the time since I thrive on the energy and upbeat mood. Ahhh. ------------------ joe@j0e.us Song quote of the week: I'm that light when you can't see, I'm that air when you can't breathe, I'm that feeling when you can't leave. -Puff Daddy

I am an UPS packager. Not the kind at the post office though... I work for this small business company owned by a family friend. I don't have a "set schedule" either. They call me up whenever a new shipment comes in and I go to work. I get paid $8 an hour, no taxes, plus I get paid in cash right on the spot after finishing. Heh heh, decent enough for me.IP: Logged |

I used to work at Jamba Juice (for those of you who don't know what it is, it's a place that sells smoothies and other healty stuff) for $7.00 an hour. However, one of the perks was all the "free" food that we would sneak when no one was looking. I.E. the leftover smoothie in the blender cup after pouring and all the food that was "accidently" made, etc. etc. Damn, we were bad when it came to not eating the store's food. I'm currently out of a job, but I just got a couple offers. One is to work for my city's aquatic recreation dept. Or in other words, lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons at city pools. I'm also thinking of maybe taking a job at Shoreline Amphitheatre (for anyone in the Bay area). And Stanford's bookstore is also hiring. I'll probably end up taking the city job although I *really* want to work at Shoreline. Owell. IP: Logged |

Hey Waldo, if you work at the Shoreline, you can get me in free to shows, right? I start working at Blockbuster next week... I still have an interview at Sam Goody tomorrow, but I think that I'll be sporting Blockbuster polos all summer. I wanted something fun and easy - as during summers in college, I expect to have to get internships and all of *that* fun stuff.------------------ what a girl wants, what a girl needs: cornices and moguls! ris@ebay - http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/spootster/ ris@laundro - https://laundromatic.j0e.us/cgi-bin/laundro.cgi?justdisp&Ris IP: Logged |
