I doubt they will make a comeback (no offense).. miranda veteran	posted 05-29-2000 10:20 PM i'm 21 and i'm not embarassed to say i love hanson. and "comeback" implies they went away. which they didn't. they were touring and then in the studio working on the album. it takes time to complete an album when you actually WRITE all the songs, play instruments and co-produce it. their album isn't doing as well as one would hope due to the fickle teenies who wouldnt know good music if it bit them in the ass, and to a lack of promotion. anyway, a postion on billboard says nothing about an artists talent or success. look at santana for example. five years from now hanson will still be doing what they love, making music and nsync and all those other boy "bands" will be working as janitors. They also write their own songs, and co-produce some stuff Mytown - again, they play their own instruments, and they dance.. I love how they are bringing blues and rock and roll to today's youth... they don't just leave it all up to Jonny Lang. I've noticed right now that the *n sync and bsb fans are growing up (the slow decline from the top spot on trl... i cant beleive I know this sh!t).. but Hanson fans have always been there, and a lot of them grew up.. but the music touched us so much that we check them out now and they matured and grew so much musically. their album is truly a poprock masterpiece. ------------------ We drove out to the desert just to lie down beneath this bowl of stars... you can see a million miles tonight but you can't get very far ~ad~ IP: Logged
Blues lizard veteran	posted 06-12-2000 10:09 PM whoah that thing about the Billboard charts just pissed me off immensely. just because they are down to #79 doesnt mean anything... there are a lot of bands that have these HUGE followings and u dont hear about them on mtv or see them on the billboard charts. debuting at #19 is damn good... take bands like moxy fruvous, rusted root, dar williams, ani difranco (ive never seen a chart with her, but if im wrong, sorry.. :x).. moe., susan tedeschi, Jonny lang, deep banana blackout, Phish (they do chart but most of the music that people buy are boots so they cant chart). so I wouldnt say that billboard charting is everything... look where it really matters, the fans! ------------------ We drove out to the desert just to lie down beneath this bowl of stars... you can see a million miles tonight but you can't get very far ~ad~ IP: Logged
