i'm not sure how many of you live in florida - but i was just curious if anyone else knows about the school shooting that happened today in lake worth, fl. (i think it was an 8th grade lang. arts teacher who was killed by a 7th grade student) kind of scary that something would happen so close to where i live. i personally don't know anyone there nor the teacher shot, but i thought someone here did live in that area... just curious...------------------

Thank God I am from a small town! The worst thing we have here are drugs. Anyway, that is so sad! Did thaey catch the student? Why would anyone ever think of doing that anyway?------------------

they caught the kid a mile + feet away and he turned in the gun. apparently the kid was suspended earlier that day for causing problems and he went home. then he came back and brought a gun, tried to get some kids attention, a teacher came out and told him to go to class (in which he shot him in the head)------------------

oh my goodness, that is so sad! i cant believe this stuff happens, the kids who do this are so fu*king warped.  ------------------

believe me, it happens. our school just had a whole bunch of bomb threats. they found a real bomb in the kids house. there were like 4 threats before that were false alarms. but if he hadnt been caught when he was, somebody could have gotten killed. and i live in a small small town, so dont think it cant happen in your town.------------------

guns have been banned here since about 1996 after the dunblane shooting. stupid NRA in the US. ------------------

laws are stict everywhere but the usa. i believe in some arab countries if you steal, they chop your hand off. plus, when i was required to take a drunk driving class (no - i don't drink, but in order to get your permit in florida, you have to take it) we got a list of countries and their punishments if you drink and drive. most of them they take you out and shoot you right there. but, if we instituted these laws, people would complain it infringes our first amendment, freedom of speech.------------------

singapore is like that!
and if you spit, you have to clean the street every sunday, wearing a sign...for 3 years, i believe...

Off the subject, but: my teacher told me about this one person from the USA that went to SINGAPORE or somewhere around there and spray painted a car, he got whiped soo badly right there in public!------------------
