alrighty. had to start it since i know there's pumpkinheads here.i can't fathom the idea that, by the end of this year, there will be no more smashing pumpkins. no more billy james jimmy melissa. never. no more new albums. no nothing.. *sob*  ------------------

They are breaking up after releasing another album, a live disc, and touring Canada with Summersault.*sob* They are my favorite band. I cried when I heard. ------------------

i love the smashing pumpkins, they were one of the first bands i'd ever even listened to...but yeah, billy corgan is jesus himself, and makes up 95% of the band anyways, so if anything, his new stuff will most likely be even better than the band... i've sort of always felt the band held him back... ------------------

i won't miss melissa, but d'arcy was a great loss...is anyone interisted in some pumpkins bootlegs? i have all mcis stuff & earlier. i also have a teeshirt & flag i need to sell. email me ifyour interisted. if you want tape copies of bootlegs i am getting rid of them real cheap *hint* i never listen to the tapes. they are copies i got in trades ages ago. ------------------

i cried when i found out too. i am sure billy will go solo because he is too smart and much of a genius not to...but he did say he was kinda sick of the music industry, so i dunno? i can understand they want to stop when they're ahead though. and ill miss 'em. ive loved them for a long time and i never got to see a show of theirs :/------------------

i don't like melissa.. she changed like the whole aura of the band. billy is a lyrical/musical genius.. i miss them already. the song "today" changed my life.. billy + the whole band just are so beautiful.. <<eyes tearing up>>. im going to summersault this summer. all pumpkin fans should go. tickets are only 32 dollars canadian (like 25 us) and our lady peace, eve 6, a perfect circle, foo fighters, and of course the pumpkins are playing. ------------------

no, sp will be putting out another album and maybe some live stuff.. stuff left over from machina..
and.. they might do a follow up tour after japan and the release of the last album..
umm.
i saw them on the 21st.. they're doing VH1 storyteller's soon too.

i saw them for the first time the 24th in berkley, it was really good! i loved when billy played "this time" on acustic, i cried. i love that song.they have been my favorite band for 4 years. i cried when darcy left (i love her!) and i cried when i heard they were going to break up. my life is over! billy is my god! ------------------

it's...going...to...be...alright. I'm going to Summersault hopefully. Yay. I'm so glad I got to see the Pumpkins last month, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Also, my dad was in the dressing room the whole time and got me James's water bottle. Heh. Of course Billy will move on to amazing solo projects or something of the sort. I'm incredibly sad but I know they won't completely disapear. Besides, BILLY IS GOD. ------------------
