yeah well, i wanna sell stuff on ebay
but i don't wanna give a credit card
and i know there's another way to pay
the surcharges and such, but what
about to post an item to sell?
how can i sell an item without providing
a credit card?

There is no other way. You gotta give them yor credit card number because they want to verify everything. They keep it on file. If you want to make your payments after selling your stuff on Ebay, you can go make a one-time payment via check or money order so it doesn't have to go through your credit card. Don't trust me on this though. I spend unnatural amounts of time on Ebay but I've never sold anything there before. Anyway, do you still want me to send you a postcard (nope, I haven't forgotten!) But I will need your address if you want me to write, thanks!

I signed up with ebay last summer. They allowed me to pay by M.O. or check through the post. They still let me, since i signed up so long ago. But their rules have changed, so they only allow people to use credit cards (unless you have already signed up for paying through the post from like before Oct '99).
