drewsgurl newbie	posted 04-27-2000 09:04 AM hey does anyone have there belly button percied or a tatto. i was wondering if u wanted to take out the belly button ring after it was on for a while..does it leave a scar..and i was wondering if u chose the ring or the ball. and did it hurt.and how much did it cost u .........NEXT QUESTION............. if anyone has a tatto did it hurt...what did u chose..and where did u get it. and how much did it cost u why i was asking these questions was b/c HFSTIVAL is coming up! and i want to get my belly button percied and a small cute tatto on my lower back! so please let me know people thanks IP: Logged
lunychik veteran	posted 04-27-2000 11:36 AM Ive never had these things done,but i know the answer to if they hurt is yes,heehee,what do you expect? anyway-i do know the prices though,at least where i live,the belly piercing is pricey,around $30-$40,if you bring your own belly ring it costs less though. a tottoo depends on the size and how many colors you use,it could be anywhere from $80 for a small one-to like hundreds for a bigger one,and the colors cost more. ADRiENNE veteran	posted 04-27-2000 01:23 PM Oh, oh! Hehe..I can answer that one I have a tattoo...4 of 'em to be exact. They're all fairly small and cost me somewhere between 50-120$. Depending on what you want, where you want it, how big it is, etc...determines the price. Yes, they hurt....but it's different for everyone. My last tattoo (that I got a few months ago) hurt the worst. It's on my lower back...left side. However, my sister got one in the same place and it didn't bother her the slightest...So I guess it depends on your tolerance for pain. I also have 2 on my feet and one on my ankle. The tat on my ankle was my first and from what I remember (I got it almost 4 years ago) it hurt extremely bad...Although, the 2 on my feet didn't hurt at all... I don't know about belly piercings...I don't have that done...But at the shop that I got my piercing (tongue)...they all ran about the same price...Between 40-70$..depending on jewelry and the piercer... Now, onto what I chose... My first tattoo was of a monkey..yeah, a monkey...It's small and oh-so-cute...Yes, there was a reason for it....but it's not one I discuss a lot My 2nd tat. was a 4-leaf clover on my right foot. Yes, a reason for this one too... My 3rd tat. was a design (which has faded horribly) on my left foot. No, no reason for this one. And my 4th tat. is an open heart w/vines & flowers with a ring in the middle of it...This is probably my favorite one...again for reasons... Any other questions...Just ask. click veteran	posted 04-29-2000 12:30 AM i had my tongue peirced and i have a small scar from that but you'd only know it was a scar if you've had your tongue peirced,, ((i had to take it out because i was at boarding school and the teachers told my parents it was pierced)) & have a tattoo on the small of my back that says "the devil made me do it" in gothic lettering (the "demon" font) which cost me 40$ and hurt like a @(#&%A(&*(!@$ anything on the spine or like inner arm,,, get it somewhere that theres fat if you wanna get one, i heard inner thaigh didn't hurt but no one really sees that, upper arm might be ok, breast or upper chest would probably be ok, stomache if you're not real thin.. i dunno. as for scaring with belly button rings ( ihave a few friends) .. if it gets infected it usually scars but if you take good care of it the scaring will pretty much go away within a year or two.. its not real noticiable. ------------------ infective.NET IP: Logged
Destiny newbie	posted 04-29-2000 03:16 AM Yeah I have a few tatts. The pain thing depends on two things 1.) Pain threshold 2.) where u get the tatt.Like Click said the more skin/fat where u get it the less pain. The needles go in a few layers of skin so if u do it somewhere boney it hurts. I have an extremely high tolerance for pain the only thing that really hurt on my tatts was when I was getting them colored in and they stick the needles back in where they already made the outline. Owwie. But I love my tatts so it was worth it. The only piercing I've had was my cartiledge in my ear and that scarred I'm a wrestler so wrestling with it in messed it up. I'll describe my tatts for ya they are so purty! I have a rosary on my right shoulder with the r.i.p Papi in the cross in old english and its colored.The lettering is blue and the rosary is a greenish color very awesome.. My other one is a butterfly with a dolphin ringing around it. All colored in this one is so gorgeous and its on the small of my back. The rip Papi one would cost around 65 dollars and the butterfly dolphin one would cost 110 I think...I got them for free becuz I know the artist. I don't recommend getting something stupid like a name of a boy or a band becuz people change and then you'll regret make sure its something you really love or something so you wont regret it. i have only two for now but they both have all the menaing in the world the Rosary is in loving memory of my Papi Daddy and the dolphin butterfly one is like for the love between my mother and I. I am the strong playful one The dolphin and she is fragile and beautiful The butterfly So I thought it would be cool to have the dolphin protecting the butterfly like I protect my mom. plus Dolphins are my favorite animals and butterflies are my moms favorite. So there u go.
