ok, i am curious. you have a swap list and decide a swap with someone. i wanna know what you do. do you take off all the items or what? here's the situation: - when i swap, i keep all the items and email addresses in an AOL folder. i have 3 folders, a current swap folder, a SWAP SEND OUT folder and another folder where all the people in there, i am waiting to recieve their swap first. i dont remove my items from my list because i dont want to remove them and then have the swapper be some fraud and then i'll have the item but i'd have removed it from my swap list. so i dont remove the items from my list. but then, the people get mad at me and are like "isn't this mine??" arg. you can win either way. does this make sense? so, how do you swap? where do you keep your records? etc. ------------------ * dANi _ * _ volcom ACTiON girl - joe@j0e.us ('³') * mY sTUFF fOR sALE!! ----> stuff 4 sale * ^(^ * check out my dad's auctions * ---> click * IP: Logged |

I have a record of shit in a book. I write what I give them what they give me. Then when I send it I corss it out and when I recive it I cross it out. I also keep their username and e-mail so i can get ahold of them. When somebody has said yes I want this and I give them my addy I take the idem off my list or put --sold-- beside it. IP: Logged |

I keep all my transactions on Microsoft Works. I have two templates: sold items, and bought items. I keep track of the person's e-mail, username, items bought, date finalized (and if it's an auction, when it started, ended, and number of bids it recieved.. just so I know what's popular), if I left FB for them, if they left FB for me, how much money they sent (or how much I sent), how much it cost me to ship the item, and how much I profited. And after each transaction I have a section where I put little comments and notes, like, "omg, i love this! shipped way fast" or, "eh, very hard to work with, but nice stuff", etc.. just personal notes.------------------ 'maREE baREE * shop-a-holic sweetie laundro's offline magazine editor [ edited because my sig is blah~!! ] [This message has been edited by MochaWeb (edited 06-19-2000).] IP: Logged |
