How offten do you guys get your stuff lost or stolen in the mail. I have had 1 letter to a penpal lost (it was during christmas so thats understandable) and one trade for laundromatic stolen. It pissed me off so much. I mailed 4 bracelettes and a toothpick (just for fun) plus my info to this girl. The girl got a toothpick and my info. I was so pissed.

I sent it in a regular sized white envalope, since bracelettes aren't breakable.

Do I need to get insurrence on it of something.. or use a padded envalope. I don't know. They weren't big and I didn't want to pay parcle price to send them.

What do you do?

I always mail bracelets, etc..in a padded envelope or little box...Saves them from being crushed..or the envelope being ripped open...

Plus, sending something like that is an open invitation to theifs in our wonderful postal system to go ahead and help themselves to your items...

It's safer to mail in a padded envelope.

Yep,they say "lost" but really a good majority is stolen, you should mail bracelets in a padded envolope, cause putting things like that in envolopes, when they go through the mail machines, alot of times the items in the envolopes get stuck and it cause holes in the envolope...

for $.35, you can have your mail certified. that means that a little green ticket is ripped off the package when it arrives... but that means guaranteed delivery, as you can go back to to the post office with yer certified #, and they can sorta track yr package, i believe...

& for 85¢ you can get your stuff insured. that's probably the best way to go...

i've had 2 or 3 things that got lost/stolen/etc. in the mail. :/

I had one girl send me $$ twice for an item she won from me...I never got either payment..I'm assuming she sent cash, so more than likely it was stolen...

Also, my first transaction on Laundro didn't go so well. I sent cash to a girl and she said she never got it...but she sent me my item(s) anyway...So I guess things went OK.

You can get delivery confirmation at any post office for about 35 cents. They give you a tracking number and you can track your packages online. For 85 cents you can insure your item. I'm not sure how much a certified package costs...but it's not worth the extra money unless you are sending something extremely valuable.

Your best bet is a delivery confirmation slip...When you track a package online it tells you the date and time it left your post office...and the date and time that the person you sent it to receives it..and, anything else that may happen to it along the way.

Just my $0.02.

what do you do if somebodys stuff gets lost in the mail.. do you still send the stuff?

What if your sending something to somebody?

I've never had anything coming to me lost, but if it was I'd prolly look at the persons feedback. If they are a good user.. I would prolly beleive that they sent it.

I have lost something that I sent to somebody (bracelettes) and I'm prolly gonna send her something else.. I guess.

UHH you won't believe what happened to me. I sent this girl a package it was a shirt + wallet and it came back to me and looked like it had been ran over so I took it this new place that opened up in my neighborhood called PakMail and they mailed it well okay they mailed it over a week and a half ago and the girl still hasn't received it. So I went into the place the other day and they 'have no idea what is going on'. I'm like uh ok so my mommy is taking me in there today to make them find out what's going on. =)

I mail everything in a padded + VERY TAPED UP envelope. If you wrap your items in kleenex, use a half size manila, and tape all around with packing tape, they really won't be able to rip it open/bother. heh. Nothing has ever gotten lost in the mail.

Wait, it has: I sent a package of 3 CDs to a friend, and it took 4 months until it finally came back to me all mangled. So I put the 3 in seperate envelopes and resent. All was well. heh.
