no, if you don't reach the reserve price then you don't have to do anything. If you want that thing badly, then you can email the person and work out a deal. If you DO reach the reserve price, then yea, you do need to pay. I hope I helped you...------------------ My Emails: joe@j0e.us joe@j0e.us joe@j0e.us joe@j0e.us Homepage: http://www.gurlpages.com/me/daria1299 http://www.geocities.com/la_la_bored " "/morepics.html " "/evenmore.html to see pics of auctions

Actually, i think you are obligated to pay whatever you bid, regardless of whether you met the reserve price or were even the highest bidder. The seller just isn't obligated to sell it to you unless you meet the reserve price.

i think you have to pay, weather you met the reserve or not. if you didn't intend to pay, you shouldn't have bidded.IP: Logged |

if you don't meet the reserve, you don't have to pay unless the seller still wants to sell it to you. i have never encountered an auction when the seller still sold the item if the reserve wasn't met. IP: Logged |

I have, I bid on something, but it didn't reach the reserve price, so I e-mailed the girl..and we worked something out. If you are bidding on something, and the ending bid did not reach the reserve price, E-MAIL THE SELLER, you can try to work something out. But from what some people have been saying on this post, about sending money even if you didn't make the reserve price, DON'T. Contact the seller first, they might not want to sell it to you for the price it ended as, since it didn't meet the reserve. Communication is the key ;p

well, i haven't PERSONALLY encountered an auction when that happened.i agree though...if the seller wants to work out a deal with you, they can, but it doesn't always work that way. IP: Logged | |
