![]() ![]() Now that LaundroMatic offers free homepages, you may want to make one of your own. However, you might just have a few questions before you get started. How do you make a homepage? What should one put on it? We'll do our best to help you answer your inquiries in the next few paragraphs.
For starters, you may want to start out learning html at a site such as Anabella's HTML Help. There you will find simple step by step tutorials to all the basic HTML tags that you will need to create your homepage. Once you get the hang of things, you might want to check out HTMLgoodies for a more advanced approach or Lynda.Com for design tips. However, if your aim isn't to make a page by hand, you can always use our EZ-Web feature, which allows you to fill in a few forms and PRESTO! -- a page will be created for you. Also you can use one of our templates, which allows you to squeeze your own content into a pre-formatted design. Perhaps you know this already, and just want to start creating your page. You can enter raw HTML and text into a form in the "Standard HTML" option under the "Create a New File" category. If you prefer to make your files in a text editor such as EditPad, you can upload your files directly to the web! You can also upload images and other media.
Adding an interactive edge to your page is always a plus. And since LaundroMatic realizes this, we have provided you with three utilities to make your web page escapades all that much easier. You can place a fully-customizable guestbook on your page for your friends and visitors to leave comments and suggestions in. If you want to take user surveys, our form mail feature allows form results to be mailed directly to you. Our most exciting speciality is the Web Board. The Web Board, which is also fully customizable, allows visitors to come and read other posts, and post a response, or post a new message of their own. You also have full admin access over the deletion of any post posted on your web board. |
