The following is the official stance we take on issues involving LaundroMatic. In order to participate in LaundroMatic online auctions, you must comply with, agree with, understand, and follow the guidelines below. Failure to do so may result in being permanently banned from using our services. Because, like all internet auction sites, we must deal with fraud. We are now making no exceptions whatsoever when it comes to punishment. If we receive a complaint on a user, a proper investigation will be conducted. If it is found that the user is indeed guilty, the user will immediately be banned. Removal of the ban will not be done until an email from the user has been received explaining what happened. This is done only to make Laundromatic a safe place to buy and sell. If more than one complaint is recived, further actions may be taken. Also, the step of contacting officials or gaurdians may be used. Our goal is to make Laundromatic a safe and enjoyable place for teens. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us and we'll be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
* REGISTRATION *
When registering, you must provide accurate contact information. Signing up with a fake address or leaving the fields blank is strictly prohibited. We do NOT distribute your home address; it's kept strictly confidential to us and those who you make transactions with. It needs to be correct in order to cut down on fraud. If we find out that you have a fake and/or incomplete address, you will be emailed and requested to change it. Failure to do so in a certain amount of time will result in your membership being deleted. Please re-sign up, this time providing your correct address.
* BIDDING AND SELLING *
After having numerous problems with stubborn bidders and sellers, Laundromatic has created a policy on the situation. We have zero tolerance for fake auctions or bidders who do not get in touch or reply to sellers' requests after winning auctions and vice versa. If you put something up for auction, you must follow through. You agree to this the instant you press the button posting your auction. Not only this, but if you bid on an item and win the auction, you are obligated to pay the winning amount. Failure to do this is illegal in most states.
You make a contract the instant you hit the button that posts your bid. If you do not follow through with either of the above, then expect to be banned from LaundroMatic and further actions will be taken. Do not expect us to be lenient with you. Only after you have discussed it with the employees of LaundroMatic may you be unbanned and let back in the community.
Do not put up fake auctions. This is not a place to make jokes. Do not put up illegal items, as this is not a place to commit crimes. Do not use multiple aliases or anything else that contributes to fraudulent ways of auctioning. If you have a question or doubt as to whether your actions are acceptable, feel free to ask one of the LaundroMatic employees.
Please check with your parents before bidding on something or putting up an item on the auction block. It saves everyone the headache of apologetic emails and the hassle of removing auctions.
* FEEDBACK *
Feedback is a way to distinguish the trustworthy users of Laundromatic from the dishonest people who do not take online trading seriously. Leaving feedback is only allowed when the two people involved have had a buyer and seller relationship. Leaving false feedback is not allowed. Leaving feedback not related to a transaction is strictly prohibited. Please visit the help section for questions on feedback and what types of feedback are appropriate for which situations.
* PROBLEM USERS *
We have zero tolerance for problem users. A problem user is someone who causes trouble and/or fails to comply with the rules and guidelines, especially after being warned. A problem user will be notified of his/her deviant behavior, and if he/she fails to change their ways, a warning is added to their record. After the user accumulates 3 warnings (or a -2 feedback rating), the user is banned and/or deleted-- no questions asked. Laundromatic is very close to not allowing free e-mail addresses such as hotmail, et cetera. If we have to, we will alter our policy, and like eBay, we will not allow free email addresses. We apologize if this may cause any hassle, however it is only done for the benefit of the entire community. We do not currently have to resort to this, but if it has to be done, we will do it.
* O T H E R *
We on LaundroMatic will do everything in our power to protect the good users of our system. We will try our best to make things run as smoothly as possible, even if this means going to great lengths to get these things accomplished.
