Q: How do I bid on an item?

Bidding is easy. Make sure you have read the policy on bidding. Scroll down on the item's page until you find the small form which asks for your username, password, and bid amount. Fill it out and click away. Good luck on winning the auction.

Q: If I change my mind, can I retract a bid?

Sorry, bidding is permanent in almost all situations. You agreed to the terms when you pushed the "Place Bid" button. The only way a bid can be retracted is if both the highest bidder of the item and the seller
email us stating that they both agree that the bid should be removed. So if you are a high bidder and want your bid removed, discuss it with the seller before you contact us about it.

Q: What is proxy bidding?

Proxy bidding is a wonderful tool. Proxy bidding allows you to bid how much you are willing to pay but only bids in the amount of the next highest bid. Sounds a little confusing? Let's say you were willing to pay $5 for a mink fur coat, but the price was only at $2.50. Instead of having to come back everytime you were overbid, you can type in $5, but the cgi will only place your bid as $3.00. If someone bids higher than $3, your bid will not be replaced unless the amount of their bid is over $5.

Q: When I make a bid, I am immediately outbid. What's wrong?

Someone must have used the proxy bidding system to set an amount that is higher than the amount you bid. The only thing you can do is decide how much you are willing to pay for an item and place that amount. You won't pay that amount unless enough bids catch up to it. If the amount is still outbid immediately you might as well give up.

Q: What happens if my seller backs out?

Depending on the situation, leave them either negative or neutral feedback. If the seller recieves your payment and does not send the item, leave them negative feedback and
report the user to us immediately.

Q: How can I get more info on my seller?

You can use the
feedback system, check out there user page by clicking the "just me" picture by their name, or ask around on the UBB.
